Hal Gould (1920-2015) was a important Colorado Gallery owner, photography enthusiast, and photographic artist. He owned Denver’s Camera Obscura Gallery and co-founded the Colorado Photographic Arts Center and the Upper Level Gallery. His work is featured at the Denver Public Library and The Denver Art Museum among other prestigious galleries. He is remembered for encouraging and creating spaces for Colorado artists and establishing photography as fine art in Colorado and the Western Region.
