Charles E. Grover of Cedaredge, a commercial photographer, died. He was 85.
He was born Feb. 11, 1914, in Aspen. On Sept. 15, 1945, he married Genevieve Lamme. He worked on the Big Thompson Project, for Highland Mines and Highlands Bavarian Lodge, was owner and operator commercial photography studio and was a freelance photographer for The Denver Post. He was a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Colorado Photographic Art Center, Colorado Mountain Club, National Ski Patrol, Aspen Historical Society and deacon for Central Christian Church. His interests included the outdoors, mountain climbing, hiking, skiing and fishing.
His collections include: nude studies and views of primarily Colorado, Aspen, Denver and the Front Range. Images of the ski industry, Frontier Airlines and other corporate and commercial enterprises. Many scenic views. Some images of New Mexico and Wyoming.
