Mill Interior – Ladle & Blow Off captures an iron pour within a working mill. A stream of molten metal bursts forward from the ladle, releasing a flare of light and heat known as the blow-off.

The painting is set directly onto a reclaimed wooden pattern, once used in the casting process itself. In doing so, it preserves not only an image of industry but also its material history.
