Some people do yoga; I create. Art is my therapy and liberation. It’s how I process the world around me, especially humans’ impact on nature and human rights. When I think of San Diego, my hometown, I marvel at the fluidity of culture, people, and objects that accumulate around and across borders. Sea glass -- like art and ideas -- cannot be contained behind a wall. All peoples participate in its creation; yet have no control over its distribution. Border spaces encapsulate why boundaries don’t work: people blend, because, like the tides that carry glass, we are wild and beautiful.
