The Sit A Spell and Play A Tune Piano is an artfully decorated public piano installed at the Coronado Library near the coffee stand. The piano is available for anyone in the community to play. The installation will be available through early December.

Sit a Spell and Play a Tune debuted in May, 2017 with an artfully decorated piano installed in Coronado Rotary Plaza at Tenth Street and Orange Avenue and remained at the site through the Annual Holiday Parade where it hosted a crowd of carolers.

In 2018, the Cultural Arts Commission expanded this popular program to three pianos. This public art installation provides access to music live from the streets of Coronado.

The original piano design was created by Coronado resident Jody Esquer.
