
Tome Harel (she/her) is an artist and an educator navigating across various media and themes. Tome's work seeks to investigate memories, identity, landscapes, text, and figures while exploring textures and surfaces. Tome has been a public-school art teacher for over 6 years, and in her classrooms, she emphasizes process, material exploration, skill building, art history, identity, and community. Tome strives to create a curriculum that touches relevant concepts and experiences that are tailored to her students.
Tome received her M.A.Ed. from The City College of New York, and a BA in Art History and Asian Studies from The City College of New York. Tome also studied at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and holds a RYS 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training from Sonic Yoga and a RYS 85-HR Prenatal Yoga Certificate from Arhanta Yoga.
