Following description extracted from Artnet:
"Lipski did a series of “Water Lilies” art works. This one is the best, referred to by Galerie Lelong and MCA La Jolla “Water Lilie with two red glasses” was created in 1997. The medium includes glass, liquid, steel, screws, stemmed glassware, metal brace and hook, that combine to create an object that floats in acid-resistant glass tubing that has been hermetically sealed with a heavy steel clamp. The preservative solution keeps the items in suspended animation. It measures 25 x 8 x 8 inches and can be mounted on the hook that Donald Lipski provided."
Patti and Coop Cooprider moved from Europe to fully enjoy the San Diego Art Community. They have been steady supporters of the Museum of Contemporary Art, both in La Jolla and downtown San Diego. In 1999 at MCOA, they acquired Donald Lipski's "Water Lilies" to add to the Cooprider Family Collection. View it at Lipski's Website: Cooprider_Water_Lilies_On_Official_Lipski_Website
