Artist: Robert Andrew Parker (b. 1927)
Robert Andrew Parker is a watercolor painter. He was born in Norfolk, VA, and currently lives in West Cornwall, CT. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, and Stanley William Hayter's Atelier 17 in New York. Parker has received many awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a Rosenthal Foundation Grant from the Institute of Arts and Letters (NY). His work is held in many museums and galleries, including the Museum of Modern Art (NY), Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), Whitney Museum of American Art (NY), Montclair Museum (NJ), New Britain Museum of American Art (CT), Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute (Pittsburgh, PA), and The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (CT).
