  • Artist: Joy Wulke (American, 1948-2014)

Joy Wulke earned a BA in Architecture from Washington State University (1970) and a Master of Environmental Design from Yale (1974). She was a widely published and decorated sculptor, photographer and public artist, winning a 2013 Arts Award from the Arts Council of Greater New Haven. The founder of the nonprofit Projects for a New Millennium (Projects2K), that served as a fusion of art and science and as means of environmental stewardship. Her photography collection at Yale’s Beinecke library and her permanent installations, including those at the San Francisco (CA) Jewish Community Center and the Stamford (CT) Metro-North Railroad Station, continue to enrich their settings and inspire those who take the time to look.
