Artist's Statement: I expanded the concept of My Beautiful City into an unframed hand-quilted plane. The fabric is hand-dyed, the choice of colors is specifically limited. Each of the scenes is a photo i took of the city I've made my own. Representative not only of the successes but of the failures to create connectivity and cohesion. Areas are distressed and damaged and then repaired. Touching the piece is permitted.
