'Sweetness and Light' was painted as a spontaneous celebration of simplicity, capturing the bright clear morning light flooding into my studio space. The work encourages reconnection with day-to-day beauty through re-contextualisation of the ordinary. Blended layers were painted quickly to catch the light, while textural features and highlights were incorporated later.
