"Nyquist studied and exhibited at Corcoran School and Art Institute of Chicago." (2)
“He excelled at capturing scenes of everyday life in the nation’s capital – bloated politicians trekking down the Capitol’s steps, children playing along the sidewalk in Georgetown, women chatting on a front porch, and a diverse group of people waiting in the bus line.” (1)
“Nyquist's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from $1,600 USD to $3,000 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2010 the record price for this artist at auction is $3,000 USD for Latest News, sold at Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales in 2018.” (6)
“[He had a] brief participation in the PWAP (Public Works Art Project)- an extension of the WPA intended to decorate public buildings- culminating in a mural executed in the post office in Bolivar, located in Hardeman County, Tennessee. The mural is large, depicting Tennessee cotton pickers." (3)
Nyquist died on July 27, 1959. (4)
According to his gravestone, Nyquist fought in World War I serving in the US Army. (5)
