These two abstract pieces with fragments of human faces rise like towers of Babel expressing the difficulties of being heard and understood at the level of verbal communication. But what if when you go inward and learn to be silent, that is when you can best listen and be heard? On the top of the sculpture, a mouth closed in a mysterious smile and an ear turned inward symbolize the inner peace we can achieve. We can develop what is called the inner ear, and is our most valuable instrument because it allows us to connect with true intuition, the universal source of knowledge from which the answer to every question springs, without the need for words that can confuse, hurt, frighten.
