Felicity Sivewright’s art practice is an amalgamation of many things: personal record, emotional processing and a partial interpretation of landscape. ‘The Importance of Being a Lake’ is a celebration of Lake Joondalup as an important spiritual site for Indigenous people, a place of recreation and a sanctuary harbouring a fragile ecosystem.

Felicity Sivewright was the Winner of the Popular Choice Award in the 2007 Invitation Art Award.
