Habitat (Nest II)
- Mixed media including white fox fur, raw silk, butterfly wings, pearls, and drawings
- Tane Andrews
This artwork was created using a remarkable methodology, featuring a custom-made glass dome and a bird's nest made by White Zebra Finches, who were given unusual materials to build nests from such as shredded drawings, white fox fur, butterfly wings, raw silk and pearls. The materials and ideas used to create these nests speak of human relationships with animals, and of the material worth of precious or luxurious animal products.
