Alastair Taylor is a published freelance illustrator and painter who emigrated from the UK to Western Australian in 2007. His work is primarily concerned with capturing the effect of light and shade, and since he began to work in WA, he has mastered the unique colour palette of the city and the bush near his hills home.

This particular artwork perfectly captures the effect of the setting sun on the city pavements and the office workers of Perth as they make their way home through a warm Perth evening.
