Ben Pushman is a young Noongar Artist whose people are Minang from the area around Denmark in the southwest of Western Australia.

These paintings represent scarification marks, a part of the traditional Noongar visual language and were made as a right-of-passage; a practice that has been lost or subsumed by contemporary urban living.
