Born in 1950, arrived in Australia 1970. After completing the Diploma in Advanced Ceramics at Perth Technical College in 1982, set up workshop in Perth, Western Australia, producing a range of functional ceramics, garden terracotta and sculptural pieces. In 2001, moved to Denmark on the south coast of Western Australia and now focusing mainly on sculptural pieces.
Ulla once traded under "Kurrajong Pottery" (a stamp incised onto the ware within an oval shape).
Sculptural work shows the signature "Ulla" (in a circle), although this stamp appears occasionally on some functional wares.
Since moving to Denmark in 2000 she signs the sculptures with Ulla, the year, with Texta.
