Jeremy Lane is a Perth based artist known primarily for his hyper realistic still life and portrait works. Drawing since a young age, Lane has spent nearly two decades honing his skills for working with both graphite and ink. Lane is a graduate of Prendiville Catholic College and practices out of a studio in Burns Beach.
Beginning his career with graphite portraits of friends and family whilst still in high school, Jeremy quickly garnered success, winning the City of Wanneroo’s ‘Works on paper’ award in 2009 for a drawing titled My Mate Max. Throughout high school, Jeremy studied fine art with his final examination piece being selected for the 2011 ‘Perspectives’ exhibition. He entered one of his sneaker works titled Trail Blazers and won the works on paper category for the Wanneroo Art Awards. Following these still life works, Jeremy applied his new pen and ink skill set to his portraits, only this time drawing them on a much larger scale. Three large 2mx1.5m portraits were exhibited as part of Our Hands, Our Eyes, Our Lands for Urban Couture 2018.
