The inspiration behind the proposed mural design is to embrace the future while remembering the City of Chattanooga's past. Oak Hill's Milliken Park entrance will be the gateway of the cities Past, Present and Future. The entrance will be the mural's focal point displaying bursting bright colors from the archway making the mural interactive. All residents and visitors of the park standing in the archway will be the center of the design with rays of colors radiating from them. Making this a photo opportunity for all, that will give Milliken Park a permanent spot in history and the future of Chattanooga.
