One of the things I love the most about Texas is the incredible variety of landscapes to be found here. On the US-Mexico border lies one of our crown jewels. Big Bend National Park, covering over 800,00 acres boasts a unique ecosystem as a result of its diverse geography and climatic extremes.
Because of its remote location, it is the least visited of the national parks, but it is worth the trip.
This painting was inspired by the canyons which the Rio Grande River has carved over the past 2 million years.
