I am proud to introduce my new acrylic painting, Harvest of Silent Hands. This 12 by 12-inch piece captures a quiet moment in the fields—an individual bent over in steady labor, wearing a vibrant red shirt and a wide-brimmed hat, surrounded by layers of deep greens and blues under a striking purple sky. The textured brushstrokes convey not just the landscape, but the weight of the work and the dignity of those who perform it.
This painting is a reflection on the lives of migrant workers whose efforts often go unseen. They harvest the food so many of us rely on, yet face challenges that go beyond physical exhaustion—struggling for respect and recognition in a system that too often marginalizes them. My aim was to show the resilience and quiet strength in that labor, to honor their role and to invite reflection on the social reality behind the harvest.
Harvest of Silent Hands is more than a scene; it is a testament to perseverance and a call to acknowledge the human spirit within the fields. I hope this work encourages you to see with new eyes the hands that feed us and the stories they carry.
