Beyond

"Beyond" confronts the viewer with a straight on wall and fence, but the flying garment seems to suggest there is something on the other side, something beyond. 

One of my SHE WAS JUST A DREAM series about memory, loss and illusion evoking a sense of nostalgia and longing in the viewer. These works distort space, light, and distance to create an altered, disoriented, and sometimes unfamiliar version of a “remembered place.” A place first experienced will often appear different upon your return. Because memory is changeable and fleeting, reality also becomes unreliable.
