Sacred Datura is a common roadside plant in desert climates. It is deadly poisonous to mammals, including humans. This beautiful plant is used for healing by indigenous people with the knowledge to use it. I am fascinated by a special and unique plant that is so toxic and yet has healing properties.

The Sacred Datura flower blooms at night and is pollinated by the Sphinx Moth. The painting shows a starry sky and a Sacred Datura flower with the moth nearby.
