Birchbark, acrylic, phosphorus pigments, tree branch, and encaustic on scorched wood
This piece draws inspiration from a winter walk in the forest preserve, a pair of coyotes that kept crossing my path, and the super blue blood moon. The path is a photo I took transferred onto an encaustic surface. The paw print is a coyote track replica impressed into the warm wax, and the blue blood moon‚ and phosphorus pigments glow when the lights go out.
