The painting was created using powdered charcoal, watercolors and pastels on handmade paper. While Park Güell is known for its many spectacular views, I chose to render one of the more intimate, perhaps less dramatic, corner of the park. The light coming through the ivy and the enchanting archway inspired the art. The painting is float-mounted on a sued board and framed in a slightly rustic black wood frame and conservation clear glass.
