The late summer days on Lake Michigan beaches are quiet and beautiful. The historic Lakeside Resort offers guests a private beach which is accessible by over 60 steep stairs. This watercolor and encaustic on Clayboard captured the unassuming scene before tackling the stairs back to the resort.
