Magic and Whimsy: Colorado Mosaic Artists

Since retiring from academia, I enjoy volunteering, traveling, leading tours, and challenging my creative side. While leading a study abroad class in Italy, I encouraged my students to really be present through drawing, and personally became hooked on sketching. Ten years ago, a friend taught me how to mosaic and in 2020, I did my first large mosaic, a Tuscan countryside in my home. My hand-cut glass mosaics are either traditional grouted pieces or 2-D art, many representing the wildflowers of Colorado.
