Outdoor Sculpture
Have you noticed the rabbits that live outside of the hospital’s main entrance? Or the red worm inching across the front lawn? These works of art are part of an amazing sculpture collection that occupies the hospital’s outdoor grounds. Over the years, the hospital has collected a delightful assortment of life-size bronzes, kinetic sculptures, stainless steel figures and carved stone monumental works. Each of the sculptures located on the grounds was thoughtfully purchased for the hospital by individual donors, or donated directly by the artists who created the sculpture. We are so fortunate to have this collection to share with our families and visitors. At Children’s Colorado, art plays an essential role in healing. Our collection serves as medicine for the spirit, offering opportunities for reflection and inspiration. Art humanizes our clinical environment, lending meaning to the cycle of life and healing. Art can awaken the artist within us and help us connect with our families and our community.
