We honor Barth Whitham's board service with the purchase of "Spring" by Laurie Kersey. After a 15-year commercial art career, Laurie Kersey relocated to San Francisco to study painting at the Academy of Art University. An avid horse rider, she draws from her hands-on experience with horses, uniquely influencing how she sees and paints them. Of her work, Laurie states "One of my favorite things about riding is meeting and getting to know so many different horses; different characters and personalities, different quirks, likes, and dislikes. I love discovering those things as a rider and I love trying to express them in a painting". She currently resides in Pebble Beach, CA with her husband. Laurie's talent and unique experience with horses shine through her oil painting, "Spring", and we are pleased to honor Barth and his love of horses by sharing this piece with visitors to CHCO.
