We honor Bruce Wagner's board service with the purchase of "Midnight Cowgirl Redux" by Ouida Touchon. Ouida is a Colorado-based artist and enjoys working at the press and teaching printmaking at colleges and studio workshops. She describes her work by stating, "It's one of those things that allows me to dive deep into process, carving, inking, and printing assorted images; to dwell in print traditions that date back to the 15th century and bring my own sensibility to each image, always with a mind for beauty and composition". "Midnight Cowgirl Redux" is a reduction woodcut print printed on canvas and embellished with paint, collage, hand printed elements, frottage, and cotton embroidery. We know Bruce will enjoy the Western theme of Ouida's mixed media art piece and delight in the joy it will bring to so many at CHCO.
