A Colorado Book Award Winner in Poetry and an Essayist, I began taking bird photographs several years ago, intrigued by the ekphrastic image. My photographs have been the cover photo for Green Briar Review and in other small literary/art journals. I look for the daily and the ordinary, walking the common world with my camera in hand, and find everything stops me, everything an agency of light.
