In the original sketch, the figure had luminous hands. When I created the sculpture, I hadn't solved that problem until I returned to the sketch. Why not paint a background and use the space between the figure and painting as part of the adventure? This piece is a bridge for me to explore more combinations of 2D and 3D work.
