Charlie Hunter
Bellows Falls, VT
Charlie Hunter is a cheerful guy who paints drippy portraits of decaying American infrastructure in Bellows Falls, Vermont.
MessageFrom a Russell Lee (1903-1986) FSA photograph, taken circa 1939 in Penasco, near Llano, NM. This is a study for a larger work that I have started. I like to climb inside those FSA/WPA photos, and no better way to familiarize oneself with the shapes and forms than by doing a preliminary painting.
