This 1965 Chevy was quietly attempting to decompose on the side of the road at Hackbarney. People who know more about Chevys than do I nod their heads at that painting and say, "Oh, a Bel-Air! The Impalas have three lights on a side." It makes me feel like I've done my job well, when the cognoscenti can tell the species as well as the genus of a particular bit of vintage American engineering. This was painted user the watchful eye of Richard Schmid at two sessions of the Putney Painters this past winter.
