I love the feel and look of antiques. Older paintings done with very thin layering always attract me, there is something about the light that is different. This little pomegranate was done at home and represents a holiday tradition in Winter for our family, the kids always loved it when I brought the first one over from the grocery store and now we get to do the same with the grandkids! In ancient greek mythology this fruit was associated with fertility, I don't know if it is true but I sure appreciate my grand-children and the ability to be able to continue with family traditions.
