This piece was born out of layers and layers of color saturation. The paint was poured on, splashed, smeared, thrown...you get the idea! What emerged is a lively and exciting composition with beautifully contrasting colors. When I sit and explore this piece, I get a sense of rising. Perhaps it is the sunburst shape in the lower right corner, or the circle patterns that remind me of bubbles rising. I love it when a painting can evoke feelings of hope and celebration!
