This 10x10 piece emerged from a plan that did not go as planned! I originally started this painting wanting to create an abstract landscape, inspired by the colors of the Greek Islands. As I began, I could feel the resistance against what I "wanted" to do. So, I let go. I allowed the Muse to take the wheel! I am thrilled with what emerged. The quiet center of the painting has a small written message that says, "It is here where stillness lies." This reminds me to always return to the "center" of myself and stay authentic to my style of art. Whenever I try to have a plan for a painting, I am lead in a different direction...always to a place of discovery and honesty!
