Going Virtual, Sharing Widely

June 2020 Collections ...

One opportunity that has emerged from COVID19 and the changes in our program has been the allotment of time for staff and curators to begin the work of archiving Cedars’ substantial collection of artwork. This online archive has now reached over 300 pieces!

But our most important accomplishment has been the creation of an online engagement program that has enabled many participants to continue their art making with Cedars instructors and to engage with one another.

Toward this end, this month we are promoting the theme of “Sharing Widely” by featuring three artists who have been engaged online and/or whose work lends itself to online sharing.

Katie Buster has been creatively involved in our online classes and on social media; Gill Hines is happy and energized when sharing his work with others; and Robert Lacey has a collection of composed watercolors that offers an interesting contrast to the patterns and vivid styles of Katie and Gill.

So please, this month, share Cedars art with your friends. *Browse the Cedars' portfolio, choose your favorite piece, and share widely!*

Sincerely, The Curatorial Team

P.S. Stay in touch on Facebook and Instagram to know when the Artist Within Gallery will be reopening.
