In May 2023, I spent time in Italy traveling through Tuscany and selecting landscapes for my paintings. In this painting, I am in Monteroni d'arbia heading to an AirB&B called Villa La Pigna because in 2022 I was asked to create a commissioned painting of La Pigna. I wanted to see it in person.
