An experimental micro-short film blending real-world film and fractal animation. Most of my work sits between the natural world and the digital world and this is particularly clear in 'Feather Light'. An urgent, windblown feather trapped in a twig on a sunny day in the woods near my home was the input for a fractal animation. The two films are played simultaneously - looping, drifting, mysteriously changing colour and focus. I wanted the look to be a little rough at the edges and pay tribute to early experimental silent films where the wonder of film was still fresh.
