This series is a meditation on how a woman’s body is expansive. I used found house paint and inherited textiles and books as domestic ephemera, to honor the feminine urge to relate with other bodies. I created a symbolic language, using my own hand to represent the human body, and other simplistic floral forms to represent “nature.” In the interaction of these forms, I attempted a simplistic playfulness and harmony, an hopeful “hum” that is the sound of their constant conversation and conversion.
