The sunset from the lodge at Many Glaciers, in Glacier National Park, summer of 2024. The stunning reflections slightly broken by the canoers had to be painted. I wanted to keep the luminosity of the scene, so I chose Contemporary Fresco methods which consist of pigments on Aquaboard. The painting is able to be varnished archivally and does not require glass - hence the beautiful depth and layers.
