Looking closely at my garden, I was increasingly drawn to the glorious display put on by the simple daylily. Such a brief blooming life! Yet a complex growth phase and development. I'm so drawn to the gently curves of the blossoms and stems. Yes, the blooming lily is in its glory. Equally beautiful, however, are the various stages from bulb, to small bud to dying petals. This painting is a tribute to those stages. This original oil is framed in a subtle, black lined with gold wood frame and is wired and ready to hang. It supports and does not detract from the work itself.
