Plein air oil painting; painted at the North Carolina Arboretum just after Hurricane Helene tore through Asheville. I was with my favorite painting group, Asheville Plein Air Painters for the first time since the storm. We were all traumatized, but being with this group was very healing and enjoyable. Over 2,000 trees were brought down at the arboretum, but it was still beautiful and so meditative. I so loved the light pouring through the leaves.
