In the heart of Australia, near Mt Isa, lies a very special location: a lake created a long time ago as water supply for a decommissioned uranium mine, now transformed into a free camp recreation area that our family cherishes. We spent our days there immersed in nature; I painted while the boys fished, all from the comfort of our camper by the water’s edge. Early in the morning, the warm rays of the sun cast a fascinating contrast against the glass-like water, reflecting the sky and illuminating my son and his red fishing net. This peaceful scene was so captivating that I felt compelled to capture and share it through my art, preserving the tranquility and beauty of that moment for others to experience
