A yacht makes its way back into the safety of the marina after a beautiful day out in the water. The protected waters are glassy and calm and a beautiful glow of the setting sun illuminates the smoky Northern Australian sky. The moon rises to take its rightful place as the evening progresses. This is a beautiful and typical dry season scene we get to enjoy in the Northern Territory. It reminds me of how lucky we are to be able to enjoy and connect with life, nature and humanity amidst trying times. This large painting is representational, inviting closer investigation where I have broken down complex images into shapes and form, through cross hatching brush strokes, to capture an impression of this incredible scene.
