My family frequently embarks on fishing trips to various billabongs, where we encounter a diverse array of wildlife and have unpredictable interactions with them. These moments of spontaneous connection with nature are a source of inspiration for my artwork. I strive to recreate these experiences, aiming to preserve and share their sometimes spectacular essence with others. Often, words alone cannot capture the magic of these encounters. For instance, during a recent visit to Corroboree Billabong, we witnessed a group of buffalo reacting to our boat speeding by. The young buffalo hesitated, torn between running away and chasing us along the bank. Through my art, I endeavour to convey the excitement and wonder of such moments, allowing others to experience them as vividly as we did.
