My husband has been picking out beautiful and historic places in Virginia he would like us to visit and is encouraging me to capture those trips with a painting. This one I worked on while we were at the bridge. I painted while he played with our dog (and I think he took a nap in there somewhere). It was colder than I expected and my fingers got numb and I kept dropping my brushes. But I did get enough finished to claim it was done… but as often happens, I did do a few touch ups in the studio adjusting a few values and details.
