March can be bitter cold here in Pennsylvania however when you get a nice warm day it’s time to pack up the paints and get outside. So out we went, driving around in search of something to paint. Believe it or not I’ve spent more time driving around than actually painting and that’s including setting up the easel and palette and taking it down. That is where the spontaneity comes from while plein air painting because you never know what you’ll get.
